Saz's Around the World

Have you enjoyed your Saz's in a special place other than Milwaukee?

Only in New Zealand

Kia– ora (that’s Maori for G’day)

Firstly, thanks for organizing our shipment of Sazs to New Zealand. It was a very pleasant surprise to open my Xmas gift to find eight bottles of gold, red gold that is.

I must also thank the genius who invented the stuff, as we say down here in the land of Kiwi “it’s bloody good, mate”. I’m sure some of my ancestors (the Maoris) would have loved it too, had it been around then. It would have gone great with Moa, a huge flightless bird that weighed 600lb. Imagine a 50lb drumstick smothered in Sazs sauce!

We have been having fun trying to come up with ideas of how to get photos for you. As Lynn told you, I drive a tour coach around the South Island of NZ so on my last trip I took 3/8ths of all the Sazs bottles in New Zealand on tour with me. I also had 36 of my best friends from Japan along for the ride. Unfortunately a Japanese tour group goes around the World in 7 days so I hardly had time to get out the camera in most places, let alone a grill, but attached are some of my efforts.

Our picture (right) features Sazs with Aoraki Mt Cook,( the snow covered mountain in centre of shot), our tallest mountain in New Zealand.

This image (below) of a kiwi is in Queenstown. He is rather larger than life; a real kiwi (bird) is about the size of a big chicken. The Moa I mentioned stood 10ft tall and weighed in at about 600lb but have been extinct for about 500 years so they are a bit harder to get a photo of J.

Our summer is only half over ( I had to rub that in because I hear you guys are having a cold snap) and we will make sure we get some photos of family and friends enjoying Sazs before the bbq has to be put away for the winter

Lynn prepared a work barbecue at our home last weekend – a function with more than 50 people. On the menu was sliced beef tenderloin, beer bum chickens, sausages and pulled pork in Saz’s sauce It was an event to remember.
